About the Club

Founded in 1978, Rochester Soccer Club is one of Michigan's premier soccer clubs and the largest soccer club in Michigan. RSC offers a complete soccer experience, with opportunities to play in recreation, development, travel, and Elite programs. We are a true full-service soccer club with a proven history of outstanding player development and success at all levels of competition. Our mission is to foster the physical, mental, and emotional development of our players through the game of soccer. In all matters, RSC acts with integrity, ensures continual improvement, increases customer program value, and works actively to improve the community in which we operate. We are proud to be the roots of youth soccer in Rochester.

Michigan Stars Oakland (formerly Michigan Stars Lightning) is one of Michigan Star's premier travel soccer programs designed for players to develop and compete at a higher level. This year-long commitment, with professional and nationally licensed coaches, is designed to maximize player development and focus on every player's long term success.

What does the typical soccer year look like at Michigan Stars Oakland?
We offer our players a complete soccer experience, with club-based programming during the fall, winter, and spring. Click on your age group to see an example seasonal plan. Detailed seasonal plans for each team will be distributed after teams are formed.

Player Pathway

Michigan Stars Oakland is a premier youth soccer club proudly operating under the Rochester Soccer Club (RSC) umbrella—an organization that has been serving the Rochester area since 1978. As the Oakland County branch of Michigan Stars, we offer a complete developmental pathway for players of all skill levels, from grassroots programs to the highest national youth platforms.

MI Stars provide a comprehensive soccer experience that supports player development, fosters a love for the game, and opens doors to collegiate, semi-professional, and even professional opportunities. Current youth players from our program have gone on to train with MLS academies and compete at elite levels across the country through national championships, showcases and more.

We are proud to offer competitive teams across a wide range of leagues and platforms including MLS Next New Tier, Girls Academy Aspire, National Academy League (NAL), Development Player League (DPL), MI Directors Academy, MSPSP, MYSL and MSDSL. With local, state, regional and national competition available right here in Oakland County, our players receive top-tier exposure and experience here at MI Stars.

Together with our partner club, Michigan Stars Macomb, we unite players in our older age groups to compete on the biggest stages in youth soccer, offering a clear and ambitious pathway to the top.
