The league provides an opportunity in the summertime to compete at an elite level. It provides players an opportunity to be seen by college coaches & Olympic Development staff. Teams compete for a North American championship. This opportunity does not conflict with MSPSP, NLC, DA, club, high school or ODP commitments.
Super Y involves two 90-minute training sessions a week. Training starts after regular club tryouts are over around mid-June. We will try to complete all games by August 1st, though we may need to play some matches until August 8th. Your team will train until they have played their last game. There will be between 7 and 10 games per team. There are no games the week of the 4th of July. Generally, the games are either in Michigan, or if we need to travel we play 2 or 3 games in a weekend in order to still allow people to experience the summer.
Cost of Super Y Program $525 per player (does not include uniform which will be available for purchase through Soccer World.)
This opportunity is for everybody! You do not have to be a current Michigan Lightning player.
Highly Competitive. At most, we will create one team per age group.
Players should tryout for their corresponding birth year.
When you arrive at Super Y Tryouts, check in at the check-in table inside the athletic dome. You will be directed to your tryout field.
During and after tryouts, coaches will begin offering players positions. If your player is offered a position, you will be directed to the Super Y Registration table where you will complete the Super Y Player paperwork, pay your Super Y deposit of $150 and have your players picture taken. Deposit can be paid by cash, check to RSC, or credit card (Visa and Mastercard). If the team does not form, you will be given a full refund.
If you have any questions regarding the Super Y program, please email office@rscsoccer.org or call the office at 248-650-0113.
