International Birth Certificate for Soccer Players
If your player has a non-US birth certificate, they will need to complete the International Clearance process per FIFA Rules. This only has to be completed one time in the player’s career.
If you have completed the International Clearance process for your player with RSC or another soccer club in the past, you just need to let us know that you have received International Clearance and a copy of that clearance (typically an email stating that the player has been cleared).
To complete the International Clearance process, see below for documents and instructions. Please begin the process directly after tryouts. We must receive the clearance prior to the start of the Fall season.
For foreign exchange students this is a lengthy process and unfortunately, foreign exchange students have not been traditionally approved to play in the US. Additional documents are required for Foreign Exchange students. Please email ssantella@rscsoccer.org for additional instructions.
For help with the International Clearance process, please contact Shannon at the RSC Office at ssantella@rscsoccer.org or 248-650-0113.
Any player who has a foreign birth certificate, must complete the International Clearance process below. If you need help doing this, please let Shannon know. If you have already completed this for another club, please forward the player clearance to her. To be allowed to participate in soccer in the United States (even if you are a US Citizen), your player must complete the International Clearance Process. your player will not be allowed to play in a league game if the International Clearance has not been granted.
